Troops 40023 and 40209 Celebrate Juliette Gordon Low's Birthday!

October 31 is Juliette Gordon Low's Birthday! Troops 40023 and 40209 celebrated this special day with their fellow Girl Scout sisters on Wednesday, October 25th at Pismo Beach Cities Lions Club at a costume party.

The Girl Scouts collected canned foods as admission to the party and all goods were donated to Five Cities Christian Women’s group.

As a special treat "Juliette Gordon Low" even made an appearance (played by Lisa McKinny)

In 1912, Juliette Gordon Low (1860–1927) founded Girl Scouts of the USA, an organization that today serves millions of girl members and alumnae, and reflects the arc of her remarkable life.

An ardent believer in the potential of all girls and the importance of fostering their individual growth, character, and self-sufficiency, Juliette is credited with establishing and nurturing a global movement that has changed the world.

Thank you to all the troops, girls and volunteers who led this food drive!
