Operation Snowflake

On Saturday, Girl Scout Troop #60192 from Girl Scouts of California's Central Coast, distributed nut and candy items to military families in need.

About 280 children from active duty or veteran families received Girl Scout nut and candy items. The local veteran’s center in Ventura, the VA clinic in Oxnard, and Vietnam Veterans of Ventura County non-profit each received a few cases as well. The remaining cases were given to the Naval Base Ventura County air-wing units and will be sent overseas when they deploy in early January.

Many of the families at Operation Snowflake were interested in learning more about joining scouting. If you are interested in becoming a Girl Scout too, please contact info@girlscoutsccc.org
