On Monday,
February 5, Girl
Scouts of California’s Central Coast (GSCCC) and Sylvia Acevedo, CEO of Girl
Scouts of the USA enjoyed a
special evening at the Tower Club in Oxnard to celebrate Girl Scouts highest
achievement, the Gold Award! We gathered for
a fun night of honoring, networking, and rallying our community around young
women who accept the leadership challenge to Go Gold!
Girl Scout Gold
Award Girl recipients past, present and future, our volunteers, local
community/business leaders joined GSCCC's CEO Jody Skenderian and Sylvia Acevedo, CEO of GUSA.
Ms. Acevedo is a rocket scientist with a passion for leading
transformations and solving problems. Ms. Acevedo is a also a former Brownie, engineer
and rocket scientist!
