The Girl Scout Difference: Girl-tested, Girl-led

Dear Girl Scout Members and Volunteers:

As you may have heard in the news, Boy Scouts announced that they will soon be admitting girls.

For over one hundred years, Girl Scouts has been helping girls prepare for a lifetime of leadership in partnership with caring adult volunteers who invest their time in a girl-only space in pursuit of helping girls reach their fullest potential. Girl Scouts data-backed, time-tested programs are designed to meet girls' unique needs and specific interests, including the way they learn best, and no one does it better. In fact, it's The Girl Scout Difference.

We hear from girls and their families every day about the value of the incredible experiences we offer them, including in STEM, outdoor, entrepreneurship, life-skills programming, and Girl Scouts highest honor - The Girl Scout Gold Award.

I just attended the G.I.R.L. 2017 Girl Scout national convention along with our delegates and am more passionate than ever for our mission of building girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. As a Girl Scout Alumnae and the proud parent of a Girl Scout Cadette, I know we are the organization creating - through our skill-building Girl Scout Leadership Experience - the female leadership pipeline. The go-getters, innovators, risk-takers, and leaders of tomorrow.

We know Girl Scouts is the BEST girl leadership experience in the world, created with and for girls. Thank you for being a part of it and helping us become the second most trusted brand in the world!

It's a great time to be a G.I.R.L. Scout!

With gratitude,

Jody Skenderian, CEO
