Three Santa Barbara Area Restaurants Feature Girl Scout Cookie Desserts this Month!

On Saturday, March 11, members of Santa Barbara County Brownie Troop 55406 set up a cookie booth outside Sides Hardware and Shoes, a Brothers restaurant in Los Olivos. The girls sold a variety of cookies, including Peanut Butter Patties, which is the featured dessert this month at Sides restaurant!

805 Living Magazine is highlighting three local restaurants in March who are using Girl Scout cookies in their featured desserts as a tribute to the 100th year of the first known sale of cookies by Girl Scouts.

"805living: This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Girl Scout cookie, so why not purchase a few packages to honor the occasion? 805 Living decided to help you further indulge your sweet tooth by asking three 805 area chefs to create a Girl Scout cookie–inspired dessert to be served at their respective restaurants.

The results? At Lido at Dolphin Bay in Pismo Beach, pastry chef Jennifer Harmon incorporates her favorite, Lemonades, in her Lemon and Goat Cheese Cheesecake. San Ysidro Ranch pastry chef Heather Giacone uses Thin Mints in her Thin Mints Ice-Cream Cake. And Peanut Butter Patties serves as inspiration for pastry chef Stephanie Jackson's Dark Chocolate and Peanut Butter Patties at Sides Hardware And Shoes - A Brothers Restaurant in Paso Robles. Try one, try all three. These sweet treats are only available until the end of the month, but you can make them yourself by checking out the recipes in the March issue of 805 Living."
