Girl Scouts Castroville HQ to Transform into the new Phyllis & Andrew D’Arrigo Leadership Center in 2017!

Girl Scouts of California’s Central Coast hosted a celebration last week to announce that the Castroville service center will transform into the new Phyllis & Andrew D’Arrigo Leadership Center in 2017!

This evening of “Tapas and Tastings” celebrated the progress the community has made in raising funds to transform the Castroville HQ into the new Phyllis & Andrew D’Arrigo Leadership Center, a community hub designed to meet the needs of today’s girls and the adult volunteers and staff who support them.

The new Phyllis & Andrew D’Arrigo Leadership Center will be a place where Girl Scout troops can meet after school, girls can attend programs on weekends, volunteer leaders can be trained, and community groups can gather at no cost when not in use by Girl Scouts. It will feature a community room for Girl Scout Troops, volunteer training and a state-of-the-art media center, collaborative office space for council staff, and drought-resistant landscaping featuring native plants in the surrounding outdoor area. For more information, visit our Program Centers Page.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this happen!
