September GSCCC News

Warm Welcome to New Staff!

Amanda Hofmann-Handy is joining the Program and Volunteer Services team as the Manager of Outdoor Experience and STEM. She will be working out of Camp Arnaz. Amanda holds a degree in Environmental Studies, and has a strong background in zoology, conservation, and biodiversity. She is an avid outdoors woman; enjoying both camping and horticulture. Amanda has created and delivered combined discipline and STEM educational programing for over a decade. Amanda comes from a long line of Girl Scouts and is "over the moon" to be working here. On her first day, she was held captive by a family of deer grazing outside her Arnaz office door. Life doesn't get much better!

Watch the GSCCC Events Calendar, and participate as an individual or a troop!

ArtemisLogoCREATING CAMP ARTEMIS SOUTH - Volunteers Needed! Camp Artemis and Artemis Leadership Training Adventure (ALTA) are the two parts of an exciting and innovative outdoor leadership program of the Girl Scouts of California's Central Coast.
Due to the demand, GSCCC is interested in establishing a second Camp Artemis in the southern part of our council by 2017. We cannot do this without dedicated adult volunteers. If you are interested in becoming an adult volunteer for Camp Artemis South, please contact Melissa Baffa, VP of Program and Volunteer Services at mbaffa@girlscoutsccc.org or 805-232-3984. This is your chance to help us establish our premier sustainable leadership development program for girls, by girls, and have lots of fun! Please let us know as soon as possible, because the training pipeline begins right away!

WELCOME TO THE 2015 FALL PRODUCT SALE PROGRAM!
Troops earn funds for troop activities at the start of the Girl Scout year. Girl Scouts ask friends and families to help support their troop and council by renewing their favorite magazines, subscribing to new ones, and ordering nuts & candy items.

HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS  Two components (Magazines and Nuts & Candies); girls are encouraged to offer both products to friends and family.
To Learn more, visit the Fall Product Sale webpage and make sure a troop representative attends Service Unit Training.
