Friend First vs. Bully + Live Theater + Culinary Science = February Leadership Experiences


2/9/12 - Be a Friend First! (BFF) Event gives Girls the Power to Change Bullying – King City (D/B/J/C) When a girl is bullied, she feels alone, when a girls sees someone else being bullied, she feels helpless, but girls can have the power to change that! This awesome one-day event teaches how to recognize bullying, deal with mean girls and cliques, and be a better friend!

2/10/12 - Girl Scout Theatre Experience & Cast Meet & Greet* – Thousand Oaks (D/B/J/C/S/A) Girls learn about theater and make a craft just before Charlie Brown, Lucy, Snoopy and the gang take to the stage in the Civic Arts Plaza premiere of YOU’RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN. This 45th Anniversary Production of “a day in the life of Charlie Brown,” is a delight for all ages. There’s something for everyone in Cabrillo Music Theatre’s YOU’RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN.

*Girl Scouts will have an exclusive Meet and Greet with Cast Members and the Artistic Director at 1pm prior to the 2 pm performance. Girls will also make a craft to take home and remind them of their experience.


2/10/12 - Learn Culinary Science @ Designs on Chocolate – Arnaz (B)
Girls will have lots of sweet fun learning to make delightful chocolate desserts just in time to WOW their families for special occasions. Girls will work with several chocolate varieties and learn several techniques. Learn the culinary science behind delicious treats—and take home creations! (if not eaten first).
